The newest from DJI is their enterprise-level industrial drone
The Matrice 200 Series is a rugged and solid drone featuring a foldable, weather and water resistant body. Its uses include aerial inspections of places such as public infrastructures and energy facilities, and for this is uses a built-in Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast (ADS-B) receiver, that allows the drone’s flier to monitor nearby ADS-B-equipped aircraft.
Paul Guo, DJI director of enterprise solutions, spoke about their new product and said, “Drones have quickly become a standard part of the enterprise toolkit and industrial users have come to rely on DJI technology to efficiently collect aerial data. With the M200 series, DJI introduces a holistic solution designed specifically for these users.”
It is equipped with DJI’s first upward facing gimbal mount that makes it easier to make inspections, as well as a forward facing FPV camera. This lets two different fliers use the drone, where one pilots it and the other operates the camera. They can both also view images on dual controllers.
It has forward, up and down facing obstacle avoidance sensors, and can be controlled using the DJI AirSense ADS-B receiver. Using this, the Matrice 200 drone can also get position information from other aircrafts, but it will not reveal its own location for safety purposes.
The M200 series will ship in the second quarter of 2017, and will come in 3 models – M200, M210 and M210RTK, all with different variations.
