The new SJCAM SJ4000+ Plus Wi-Fi has just been launched and sports camera enthusiasts are already drawing comparisons to find out with is the best SJCAM model for them. When compared to the SJ4000, the new SJ4000+ is definitely a one up because while the newer model has all the great features of its predecessor, it also has the added advantage of better video recording quality.
While the SJ4000 can only record in 1080P (1920*1080) 30FPS, 720P (1280*720) 60FPS (double frame, not true 60fps), VGA (848*480) 60FPS and QVGA (640*480) 60FPS.

When compared to the plus version, SJ4000 also does not feature Wi-Fi but a Wi-Fi model is available, called the SJCAM SJ4000 Wi-Fi. Another difference can be seen in the LCD of the two cameras. While both the cameras feature a 1.5-inch screen at the back to review the footage that you are recording, the SJ4000 has a LTPS screen and the SJ4000+ has a TFT screen.
Apart from these dissimilarities, the two models are pretty much the same when it comes to the main features, except for the fact that the new SJ4000+ costs almost double of the previous model at $149.99. But this higher price is definitely worth it because you get to record videos in 2k while also enjoying all of the great features of SJ4000 with it!
