After the success of their previous waterproof drones like the SwellPro Splash Auto Waterproof Drone, the company has released another waterproof drone with advanced features. The Splash Drone 3 comes with improvements in firmware and hardware and can be bought in two versions – Auto and Fisherman.
The Splash Drone 3 Auto features an upgraded waterproof gimbal with a built-in 4K camera. It has an upgraded power system and apart from its waterproof features, the drone also provides great flight stability and image output.
It uses the new powerful S3 smart flight controller with a built-in FPV monitor. Users will have smart flying options like Follow me, Mission Planning, Tap to fly, Safe to fly, Return home, Auto-land, and Low battery Alert.
SwellPro Releases Their New Splash Drone 3
The difference between the Auto and the Splash Drone 3 Fisherman is that the Fisherman doesn't come with a waterproof camera gimbal and ground station for mobile app control. This means that it does not support smart flight modes like follow me, mission planning or tap to fly. Users have the option of purchasing the waterproof gimbal separately to shoot pictures and videos, as it is also compatible with the Fisherman version as well.
On the other hand, the Fisherman version does come with an FPV waterproof camera that is built into the release mechanism for 720p, 1km range video transmission to a remote controller with FPV monitor.
Great for use in both fresh and salt water, it is fully waterproof and has a payload capacity of 1kg, capable of carrying 10 hook and baits. Its remote control release mechanism provides safe and accurate release of fishing baits at the chosen site.
The SwellPro Splash Drone 3 can fly in the air or float on water and is great for filming water sports, filming around water bodies, fishing and line and bait drop and much more. Both the versions are on pre-sale, with campaigns soon to start on Kickstarter. The Auto version will be priced at $1,699 and the Fisherman version at $1,399.
