Yi Technologies Unveils Their New YI 4K+ Action Camera And YI Erida Drone At CES 2017

Just after 2 cameras, YI Technology has become a big name in the industry. At CES 2017, they have unveiled their newest action camera, the 4K+ Action Camera.

It is capable of recording 4K video at 60fps as opposed to other leading action cameras that can only record in 4K at 30 fps. It is the first camera to do so, and also the first camera to use an Ambarella H2 SoC processor, that comes with a max bitrate of 120Mbps, which will provide sharper and more detailed video.

The new action camera will also come with Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS) that will work when recording in 4K at 30fps, as well as have voice control commands, live streaming, VR support and better outdoor audio recording.

YI CEO Sean Da has claimed that the 4K+ Action Camera will be priced at $299.

Another amazing product showcased by YI Technologies at CES 2017 is the Erida drone. It is a tricopter that the company has created in collaboration with Atlas Dynamics.

This drone has been created using strong carbon fiber that is light, and this allows it to fly at max speeds of up to 75 mph (120 kph). It also has a flight time of around 40 minutes, which is higher than other RTF drone.

Additionally, 2 of its 3 prop arms can be rotated and folded back for travel. A motorized gimbal stabilizes the included YI 4K camera that is mounted on the drone’s belly.

Pricing and availability aren’t disclosed for this drone yet, but consumers should expect to see it by Q2 2017.
